- Does REFRACT Platform require Microsoft technologies?
- REFRACT Platform is engineered specifically for Microsoft environments and provides native integration with Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Sales, Power Platform, Azure, and Microsoft 365. If your organization's primary cloud is AWS or Google Workspace, REFRACT Platform's core architectural advantages — tenant sovereignty, native SharePoint storage, Microsoft Entra ID identity — do not transfer. Every platform capability is also available via REST API, which allows non-Microsoft applications to connect where the primary runtime environment remains Azure.
- Is REFRACT Platform a SaaS platform?
- No. REFRACT Platform deploys inside your Azure subscription. Your organization retains full ownership and control of your documents, storage, security policies, audit records, and governance processes. There are no shared vendor-managed servers in your document lifecycle and no document data is processed outside your tenant boundary. Your IT and cloud architecture teams provision and own the Azure resources — which also means Azure resource costs are yours to manage directly.
- Is REFRACT Platform HIPAA or SOC 2 certified?
- Refract Logic does not hold independent HIPAA or SOC 2 certifications. REFRACT Platform provides the compliance-enabling controls: immutable audit trails, governed approval workflows, tenant-sovereign storage, accessibility at render time, and policy-based retention. Compliance outcomes depend on how your team configures and locks down your specific Azure tenant, your organizational policies and procedures, and your applicable regulatory scope. Why We Built REFRACT Platform
The team behind Refract Logic brings more than 25 years of combined hands-on engineering and architecture experience across Microsoft business applications and enterprise document systems.
Over years of building solutions across ERP, CRM, approvals, and compliance-driven workloads, we repeatedly saw organizations struggle with external document dependencies, fragmented lifecycle visibility, accessibility requirements, and background processing complexity.
We built REFRACT Platform to take a different approach. REFRACT Platform executes inside customer-controlled Microsoft environments using Azure and Microsoft 365 services organizations already trust and govern. By combining deterministic document generation, workflow governance, electronic signatures, secure delivery, audit evidence, and lifecycle visibility, we designed a platform that keeps document execution closer to business systems and operational controls.
